((So here it is. We'll give this a go and see how it works.
Also, I completely lost track of where everything went, so I have no idea what's happening anymore.))
Ezekiel suddenly reappeared in the candy shop, after being absent for a very long time due to the fault of his author. He glanced around in confusion, trying to determine what was going on and what he'd missed.

Kale glanced at the newcomer.

Romana attempted to figure out what was going on. She had long since lost track of what anyone was doing.

Kale woke up and looked around, trying to see if anyone else had awoken. He couldn't remember falling asleep, and felt his heart plummet as he realised that he was still in the sweetshop that he had stepped inside yesterday.

Romana's eyes snap open.
She has been asleep. Why has she been asleep?
She sits upright, the edges of her vision blackening at the sudden motion. She blinks the fuzziness away and reaches a hand up to her neck to feel for darts or the welt from a needle. Surely she has been tranquillised. There was no good reason for her to simply fall asleep.
She had not been moved, however, which rather contradicted her theory of foul play. And she does not feel the pounding headache, the severe weakness of sedative drugs.
Nevertheless, she will continue to suspect the worst unless proven wrong.
She stands and casts a gaze around the quiet sweet shop.

Kale saw Romana move, and smiled at her when he saw he look around the shop.
"Good morning," he said, stifling a yawn. "So you fell asleep too?"

Ezekiel had taken the opportunity to steal Kale's radio while everyone else had been sleeping, and was now halfway through the process of taking it apart. He glanced up when he heard Kale speak though, and then looked down at the dismantled radio sheepishly. He did his best to position himself between Kale and the radio so that he wouldn't see it. He'd seen Kale's temper before, this probably wouldn't be best for him to discover just yet.

Kale heard the tell-tale sound of someone shifting beside him, and turned towards a man he had yet to see. He appeared to be crouched over something, but he could not see what it was. He smiled at the back of his head nevertheless - he was in a better mood today.
"Hello. What is your name, if you do not mind telling me?"

Two mysterious figures appear randomly in a candy shop of sorts after being mysteriously dropped off by their author, who aparently has limited driving skills. The first figure has light blond hair that was at least still blond, akong with blue eyes that can pierce holes into the bravest of men. The second figure, on the other hand, is a bit taller than the first figure. He has purple eyes that look like he isn't too happy, and yet a smile always seems to be on his face.
"Huh? I feel so lost right now..." "We're in a candy shop, Ivan." "Candy? Yay! I love candy!" "Ivan, wait!"
The two figures both make their way into the candy shop, not knowing as to what to expect.

Ezekiel cringed a little hearing Kale's voice, and then tilted his head a little, surprised by the amicable tone he heard. Still, he pushed the half assembled radio a little further out of the line of sight anyway. He glanced over his shoulder at the man and smiled crookedly. "Zeke. Short for Ezekiel Zachariah Alexander Montgomery. And you never told me your name either. What is it?" He glanced down at a multi-tool in his hand and pulled out one of the screwdriver pieces as he waited for a response.

Kale ignored the two people that had entered for the time being, choosing instead to pay attention to this 'Zeke'. He was taken aback by the length of his name, as he had been when faced with Romana's name, but he still kept the smile on his face.
"My name is Kale Henessey. Not as grand as yours, I suppose, but it's always served me well."
He caught sight of the tool in his hand, and his eyes sparkled.
"What is that device? It looks interesting..."

"My parents are crazy, that's all my name means," Zeke answered with a shrug. "Four names, four syllables each. They must have been crazy." He looked down at the multi-tool and back to Kale with a frown. "What? You've never seen a multi-tool before? It's like a pocket knife, you know? Except it's got a lot more than just a knife. Knife, scissors, pliers, screwdriver... It's great. I can take apart and put together anything with this." He grinned again and then picked up one of the pieces he'd taken out of the radio and started carefully prying it further apart into its counterparts.

The two royals both observe the kid tinkering with a radio of some sort, plus an older man that would probably want to kill them both on the spot. So, they both go over to spy on what the duo are doing. "What is that?" Ivan asks curiously, that same smile still present on his face.

Kale smirked at his statement, and began to look at the 'multi-tool' with more scrutiny.
"That sounds amazing. Vash would love something like that."
He suddenly frowned as he uttered the name, remembering that he had yet to contact his family. He wondered if he could in this strange place... He reached into his pocket to search for his radio, so that he could attempt to contact them, before his blood ran cold.
It wasn't there.

Still smiling as per the usual, Ivan goes over to a box of chocolate bars. "Oh no, I'm not allowed to have any candy..." he murmurs before sitting down, hoping that someone might talk to him eventually.
"Are you OK?" "Yes, I'm fine."
Other than hearing a familiar name being uttered, he really was fine. just craving chocolate bars.

Kale turned to the two strangers and frowned at them.
'Great, another pair of richly dressed snobs. I wonder if they're from the same world as those pitiful 'royals'.'
Although, Kale began to feel scared when he noticed that these men were a lot more muscular than he, and neither looked as easy to intimidate as the Spades people. He found himself backing away, leaving Zeke to speak.

"Who's Vash?" Zeke asked, this time not looking up from his tinkering. He carefully separated another component from the workings of the radio and then examined it curiously before setting both parts down. He glanced up at the other two who had come over, noticing them for the first time. "Oh hey there!" he chirped. "It's a multi-tool. How many people are going to ask me that?" His eyes glanced over towards Kale then, and noticed him searching for something in his pocket. He swallowed nervously and then pushed the two pieces he'd just been working on back behind him with the rest of it.

"My little brother..." Kale whispered, searching his other pockets as his panic began to rise. "Where is it...?"
He turned to Zeke, knowing that his expression was one of fear and worry and many other weak emotions that he would usually be ashamed to show, and tried to quash the desperation in his tone.
"My radio's missing," he confessed. "Have... have you seen it?"

"You've got a brother? That's cool. I never had any siblings. It's just been me all my life. Well, for a while I lived with Sam, and he was kind of a brother to me I guess," Zeke answered, not making eye contact with Kale. He was not very good at hiding things like this, so he opted to just change the subject and hope for the best.

"He's the only family I have," he said, beginning to panic more. "But he's only a child. He panics when I'm away too long."
He was beginning to get more and more nervous, needing to find his radio. He needed to make sure that he was safe - that he had not been dragged into this strange world too.
"Please. I need my radio. Could you help me find it?"

Zeke bit his lip a little bit and then cast a glance at the dismantled radio behind him. "I'm sure he'll be alright for now... Besides, you could always borrow someone's phone or something, right? That could work. I'm sure I could get my phone to send a message wherever you needed to..." He nodded vigorously and continued. "I'm good with technology. And with radiowaves."

"I don't even know what a phone is!" he exploded. "Never mind how to use one!"
He took a few deep breaths to try to calm himself.
"I'm sorry," he said. "If you could please try to get a radio signal on your..." he paused before uttering the word, "phone, then I suppose that could work also. I'm sorry for lashing out at you. I just... I need to make sure he's alright."

"Where the hell are you from that you don't even know what a phone is?" Zeke asked, raising his eyebrows a little. "And I can do that. My phone is special like that. I modified it a bit. Plus well, with my abilities getting a radio signal is a piece of cake. But anyway, you're gonna have to tell me more than just that. What frequency does your brother's radio communicate on? Knowing where it is could help too." He fished his phone out of his pocket and waited for Kale's response.

"Kinsley. The sky city. That's where he is."
He paused.
"I think... the signal's around 197. I'm not really sure. He... he only mentioned it in passing."

"I've never heard of any such place," Zeke answered with a frown. He pressed a button on his phone though and then tossed it to Kale. "There, it's sending a signal now. So hopefully you've got that frequency right. Now you talk into it, and hopefully it works. Then again, who knows, I've never made radio calls to nonexistent places before."

Kale rolled his eyes.
"I suppose Emerania did a good job of trying to sweep us under the carpet," he muttered bitterly as he tried to see how to use this 'phone'.
He held it delicately, more delicately than he did with his radio, and held it to his ear. He heard a strange ringing sound, not at all like the screeches that the radio emitted, and waited for Vash to answer.
It rang on and on without cease.

"Just talk," Zeke told him, going back to his work on the radio, although he was not starting to put it back together rather than continue taking it apart. "Just trust me. I modded that phone myself. It's kind of part radio too. Sort of anyway, it's hard to explain. But still, just take my word for it. Just talk. And if it gets through to another device that can transmit back hopefully whoever's on the other end will be your brother, and hopefully he'll talk back. Don't worry about it if it's ringing. It does that sometimes. It's just a glitch I need to fix. It gets confused sometimes about whether or not it's a radio or a phone. That's all."

"Alright."
Kale felt self-conscious all of a sudden, not wishing to talk to his brother and spill his heart in front of these otherworldly strangers. He decided to try to ignore the feeling and concentrate on Vash, and how worried he would be.
"Vash, it's me. Kale. I... I'm not sure where I am. Some sort of sweet shop. And don't worry - I'll bring you something back. Peardrops, maybe, you've always liked them."
He shifted uncomfortably.
"I didn't mean to go, and I'm sorry, but I might be gone for a little longer than I think. But don't worry - just go to Emily if you feel lonely. I'll be back before you know it. So... just stay safe, and be good for me, alright? I love you."
He paused again, waiting for Vash to speak on the other end, to tell him that he was there and that he heard him and that he was alright. But all he received was silence.
He passed the phone back to Zeke, averting his eyes.
"He's... he's probably busy," he said in an empty tone.

Zeke shrugged, still keeping his focus on the radio parts, though also trying to at least partially hide them from Kale still. He took his phone back without looking up and set it beside him distractedly. "Well, uh, maybe your radio will turn up eventually... It just might take some time... And another screw," he said, muttering the last bit to himself as he looked around him for a dropped screw.

Kale heard his final words, and his head snapped up. His eyes fell on Zeke, and then trailed down until he saw the parts scattered clumsily about. How had he not seen it earlier?
His anger reignited in him, far more potent than it had been when he had confronted the 'royals'. He had been robbed, and lied to, and embarrassed. His fingers twitched with the urge to reach for his guns.
"You bastard..." he growled.
