"The sea. I was supposed to meet my fellow hunter there to intercept an illegal cargo of dragon's scales and blood. Won,t be happening now of course." Indigo's shoulders slumped. Another failed mission.

Amelia raised her eyebrows. "You might get out of here." She took a step towards Indigo, carefully. "At least I'm not the only one lost!" She grinned before realizing the joke had fallen flat. "At least you have good company!"

Indigo managed a smile. "Yeah, well, you're the most sensible person in the room right now. Nice to meet you Amelia. What's the plan for getting out of here, past that storm?"

Oryn blinked, a muffled groan escaping his lips as he woke. Apparently he had fallen asleep in the chair; his shoulder was incredibly stiff this...was it morning? The storm still raged outside, with increased vigor, and Oryn could detect no noticeable changes that would give him a hint as to what was going on.

Amelia smirked, "I don't really have a plan. Not yet, anyway." She jerked her thumb towards Romana and Daveren. "Seems like those robes got a plan for the storm part though."

Kale stayed far away from the strangers, sitting morosely on a box as he tried in vain to find Vash's signal on his repaired radio. Either Zeke - or Xander, as he now wished to be called - had tampered with it beyond repair or he was somewhere that Kinsley wasn't, but after hours of trying he had yet to hear his brother's voice.
He tried to block out their voices. When they actually came up with a veritable way to escape, he would pay attention.

Oryn stood and paced back and forth across the room, a bit uneasy in this place. He spotted a stranger across the room tampering with a radio. The man looked worried, almost defeated. Oryn narrowed his eyes; he knew that expression. Too well. Still, he was reluctant to approach the man. He looked as if he would rather not be disturbed, and Oryn himself was incredibly wary of any stranger.

Kale felt himself being watched, and raised his head warily. He caught the eye of some stranger wearing a cloak, and raised an eyebrow at him. The action was only half-hearted. He no longer cared what these people thought of him. He was tired, and felt as defeated as he no-doubt looked.

Oryn looked away quickly, studying the floor for a long moment. Cautiously he turned back towards the man with the radio and made his way to a seat nearby. Close, but still a safe distance away.
"Looking for someone?" His voice was barely audible as he voiced the question.

Kale was instantly suspicious, but as he saw that he was just as cautious as he, he relaxed ever so slightly. One of them had better stop treading on eggshells, and hopefully this stranger would be just as ignorant of what was happening as he.
"My little brother," he confessed. "I can't get in contact with him, and I've been gone for 3 days. He'll be terrified..."

Oryn nodded slowly, stiffening as his mind flashed through memories he would rather not have recalled. Too many memories... He reprimanded himself silently. There was no changing the past.
"Terrified isn't so bad," he murmured, "as long as he's otherwise alright." He sent the stranger a questioning glance. "Is he?"

Kale glanced at him, irritation rising. But he crushed it when he saw a trace of pain in the stranger's eyes.
"I don't know if he's alright," he pointed out, keeping his tone calm. "I haven't been able to contact him in three days. Anything could happen to him..."
He averted his gaze, trying to avoid letting this stranger see any weakness in his eyes.

Oryn realized he had nearly overstepped the line, and immediately regretted his comment. "I'm sorry," he said quietly. "I... know what it's like." He closed his eyes for a moment. "Too well," he added bitterly.
He studied the stranger's radio, unsure whether or not he could be of any use here. Probably not.

Kale heard the sorrow in his voice, the tone of loss, and immediately frowned. He didn't want to bring this stranger down with him, to upset him as well. So instead he toyed with the radio a little, and eventually returned his gaze to the man.
"Do you have family that you wish to contact?" he asked, offering the radio. "Even though it did not work for me, that doesn't mean that it doesn't work at all..."

Oryn shook his head. "I...no. Not anymore. At least not anyone I would contact. My brother..." he stopped. The stranger had enough pain to deal with. Oryn decided it was best not to mention his own past. He found it hard enough to think about it.

Kale caught on, and his expression was one of purest sympathy.
"I'm sorry," he said. "I know how painful that must be. I know that words will not help, but I must say that I am sorry for your loss."
He lowered his eyes again.
"If you do not wish to talk about it, I understand. I lost my father not too long ago."

Ah, it's that same candy shop as before. The one where their friends were nearly killed, among other things. The royal duo both look up at the shop aprehensively, scanning it for any signs of danger before heading in at random, simply to get shelter from the rain.

Kale lifted his eyes and immediately scowled when he noticed that the same two irritating 'royals' had decided to show their faces again, after he had hoped that they had been gone for at least a substantial while longer. He had hoped that they would return when he was long gone, but apparently he was not that lucky.
He positioned his body so that it shielded his radio, protecting it from their prying eyes. He didn't want their unworthy gaze falling on it for even a second.

They didn't quite remember who this man even was, but even then, Ivan's still the curious one of the duo. "Maybe he's confusing us for someone else?" he murmurs to himself while looking at the fact that he's shielding something.
"Ludwig, what's that?" "What's what, Ivan?" "That." "Hm?"
Of course, Ivan just has to drag him into another one of his 'curiousities'. Sighing, Ludwig decides to follow Ivan over to where the man is, shielding a special object of some sort.

Oryn nodded in acceptance of the stranger's sympathy. "It's more than what I lost," he said quietly, unsure why exactly he was admitting this. "I became someone I...someone I'm not proud of having been." He dropped his gaze.
The entrance of two other men interrupted his thoughts, and he tensed, turning to examine the newcomers warily.

Ludwig observes someone else looking at him strangely. "Hello?" he asks shyly, walking over to the poor boy, "Who are you?"

Chris was confused and not really sure what was going on so he decided to join the group and simply listen to the others first

"I'm Oryn," Oryn replied curtly, regarding the royal with distrust. He hoped the man hadn't overheard any of his earlier conversation.

"I-I... Uh, my name's Ludwig." the Hearts King introduces himself with a smile on his face, "That's a nice name. Oryn..." The name comes off his tounge rather weirdly for some reason. "Did anyone ever tell you that you have a nice name?"

For a royal, the guy didn't appear to be particularly confident. Still, he had little appreciation for royalty or most strangers.
"No," he said simply, not willing to give a longer response.

"Oh. That's a shame." Ludwig continues this rather awkward conversation with a frown on his face, "Well, I think that you have a very nice name."

"What do you want?" Kale spoke up, glaring at him with pure hostility. He didn't care that this man was larger than him and looked stronger than him; he would still refuse to be pushed around by these 'monarchs'. It would be better to let them know that he wanted nothing to do with them early on.

"Uhm" Chris was not sure if he wanted to say something. It was not like he was shy but he hated people asking dump questions and had the feeling that he should know what was going on there. Finally he decided to ask: "What is going on here?"

A bolt of lightning struck a domed roof in the distance, throwing chunks of brick and mortar into the air. Daveren's face grew grim. "We need somewhere to hide out that storm." He said quietly.

Kale turned to Daveren and frowned.
"What do you mean? Isn't this shop safe enough?"
