Xander swallowed nervously and then started nodding vigorously. "Useful? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm plenty useful. I can do lots of useful things. Light, light isn't just visible, I can do a lot with my abilities. Really. Like radiowaves, and microwaves, and infrared and UV... It's all just light really... But I can't do anything if you eat me... And besides, I'm all just skin and bones really... Nothing tasty here... Plus I'm a ginger; ginger's can't be tasty, right? No souls for flavor..." He glanced towards Indigo curiously, wondering if her bow would stop Gage.
Apparently not...

"Shall we get on with the business here?" Indigo asked, her voice dry. "Or are you going to threat to kill people all day? Because that really isn't going to help." Her bow didn't move, still pointing at Gage

A crash emanated from the back room and Oryn reappeared moments later, clutching one shoulder. He didn't greatly appreciate shelves falling on top of him when he had not touched them. Something weird was going on in this place. With a muffled apology, he limped back over to the corner of the main room, ignoring the rather angry-looking group standing around in the middle of the shop.

Indigo turned to face Oryn, wary of the new comer. She did however put away her bow, though her hands hovered near the knives in her belt. "What happened. And when is someone going to do something other than stand here without making a decision?"

Oryn shrugged, wincing at the movement of his shoulder. "A shelf fell on me," he muttered, looking thoughtful. "Though I hadn't touched it." He watched the girl's hands warily, hoping she would decide he wasn't enough of a threat to warrant drawing the weapons in her belt.

Indigo relaxed, her hands falling to her sides. He didn't seem to be too much of a thread. She just wished something would happen so she could get out of here.
"Can you possibly explain what's going on here?" She asked Oryn

Oryn shook his head, relaxing somewhat as the girl appeared to deem her weapons unnecessary. "No idea," he replied, glancing at the gaping hole in the window. He sat down in a nearby chair, grimacing. Shelves were quite heavy, and rather painful.

Indigo looked round at the arguing group and sighed. Things were not going well. If only the storm would go away, or something interesting would happen. She sigh and moved closer to Oryn.
"You've hurt your shoulder, haven't you?" She said.

Oryn nodded absently. "I'll be fine," he said softly. "I've had worse. Much worse," he added, almost bitterly. He closed his eyes briefly, listening to the rapid staccato of the rain outside. There was something strange going on here.

Indigo settled on the floor, her cloak spreading out round her like a black stain. "You should really get your shoulder sorted out. If this lot get anything decided, then you're going to need all your strength." She paused, then added curiously, "What are you doing here anyway?"

Oryn sighed. "Very well," he conceded, though he secretly doubted the arguing group was going to get anything decided anytime soon.
He paused. "And I'm not sure what I am doing here. Nor does anyone else appear to know."

Indigo clasped her hands round her knees and watched the arguing group. They weren't going to get anything done until they got that dragon-man sorted out. Though he did loo, good in lavender.
"I seem to have walked in on a very important meeting," she remarked. "I might be willing to help, if I only knew what was being discussed."

Xander edged carefully around the room until Indigo and Oryn were between himself and Gage. He continued peering past them towards the lavender-skinned man though. "Nothing. Nothing is being discussed. Nothing to discuss really. He seemed to want to eat me, but I don't think that's really a discussion, right? We've already established that I wouldn't at all be tasty, so we can just drop all of this now, right?" Eventually he shifted his eyes to look at Indigo and grinned, though he still seemed a bit nervous. "Hi by the way. I'm Xander. Otherwise known as Ezekiel Zachariah Alexander Montgomery, but just Xander's fine."

Indigo's hand strayed close to her knife as she regarded the skinny guy before her. "And exactly why are you here? In fact, why is anyone here? And why is the dragon guy lavender?"

"I'm just here because I walked in, and it's been too interesting in here to want to leave... I don't know why everyone else is here. Or why everyone else is so worried about why we're all here for that matter. It's a candy shop, is being here really that bad?" he asked with a casual shrug. "And he's Lavender because he complained about the lime green."

Indigo shrugged. "I like to know reasons. In my line of work it pays to be careful. Still, it's an alright spot to stay I suppose. And lavender is waaaay better than lime green."

"Why? What's your line of work? Are you a 'freelancer' too? Because there seem to be a lot of those here. Okay, well maybe not a lot exactly, but more than you'd expect. And it's a really annoying answer too since it doesn't actually answer anything at all..." He cast a quick, annoyed glance at Oryn and then looked back to her expectantly.

Indigo inspected one of her knives, answering without looking at Xander. "I'm a hunter of poachers and thieves mainly. Also do a little spying on the side. Got separated from my partner though. I'm not generally a freelancer. I choose whether or not I work. Money has little to do with it. And you, what do you do?"

Romana runs her palms along her sides in an attempt to smooth any wrinkles in her deep indigo tailcoat. She has a reputation to uphold and doesn't fancy looking like a ruffian, no matter the state of her companions.
Her hair, unfortunately, has come undone, tumbling around her shoulders, and she laments the loss of her top hat. At least she still has her walking stick.
She twirls it absently as she strolls into the front of the shop, the sharp heels of her black boots clicking against the floor.

Xander watched her inspect one of knives with nervous eyes. His expression only grew more worried when she answered what her job was. He nodded distractedly and took a careful step back from her. "Oh I'm nothing really. Just some kid. Only 14, so I don't have a job or anything. I'm certainly not a thief or anything like that..." he lied quickly, and badly.

Indigo raised one eyebrow, flipping the knife around in her hand. "You're a seriously bad liar for a thief." Her sharp ears caught the sound of Romana's heels clicking. The next moment she was on her feet, knives in both hands facing the front of the shop.

The crowd has changed since Romana was last a part of it. It's grown. Well, this should be more exciting. One of the people is lavender, and quite a lovely delicate shade of it. Yes, more exciting indeed.
At her entrance, one woman spins to face her, knives eagerly glinting and pointed in Romana's direction.
Romana smiles radiantly. "Hello, darling."

"What? What are you talking about? I'm no thief. Like I said, just a kid really. More of a...collector really than a thief. I just collect fine art, and valuables... You know, I should shut up now," he muttered with a frown. He turned to look at the latest person to come into the shop and wondered if she'd be out to get him too.

Indigo narrowed her eyes. Darling was not a name she liked at all. She could sense already that she and Romana wouldn't get on well. "What are you here for? Another to join the argument?"

Amelia had been listening to the argument; though not as closely as one might suppose. It seemed to be of no use trying to stop the fights. Anyways, if they were so gung-ho about killing one another, it was best to not get involved.
She started rummaging through the shop, glancing about for something useful.

Romana's eyes glitter, perhaps, less than they had a moment ago. Another argument? She casts her gaze around the shop. She does not see the royals, nor Kale, for that matter. A different quarrel, then. Possibly something to do with the very peeved-looking green man.
She returns her attention to the knife woman.
"Ah, no, no arguments for me yet. I was not aware I was interrupting one."

Daveren smiles widely and swings towards Romana. "Ah, the politician has returned, I see! Capital, capital!" He says, rubbing his hands together.
"Now, about that storm..."

Amelia glanced up at Daveren's voice. "So this is Romana..." She murmured, jerking her chin towards the girl.
Well, this was interesting. Out of the bunch, the only she could trust so far was the dragon. She snorted.
The woman with the knives was interesting, but likely wouldn't take too kindly to Amelia's normal acquaintances. Everyone else seemed to have something to do with magic.
"So tell me, mort," she murmured, glancing over at the woman (Indigo), "Do you got a name to go with that sass?"

Indigo glared at Romana for one more moment before suddenly sheathing her knives and turning to the speaker (Amelia)
"I'm Indigo Starsight and I'm confused. You?"

Amelia snorted, "Interesting name. Though I can't say much." She shrugged, pocketing a jawbreaker she'd found in her search.
"Name's Amelia. Where were you trying to go when you wound up here?"
