I must admit, I find it a little odd that in the random chatting section, there are no boards unrelated to roleplaying. We are more than our roleplays, right?
So hi. My name is Railynn, though you can call me whatever you would like to. What are you interested in outside of roleplays? Surely among forty-three people, there will be a few shared interests.

Writing MUSIC!
I've been looking to start a band for a while, but it's been hard to find people around here.
I also love to draw.
I'm Roop, by the way.

Someone actually responded? I'm floored. Hello, Roop! Music, yes, this is something I can talk about. Particular kind of music you're a fan of? Also, I assume that if you're trying to start a band, you play some sort of instrument, correct?

Yes, I play guitar.
I mostly like hard rock and rap, but the music I write is more like.... hmmm.. It's kinda like folk, but it's got pop and rock flavor. It's... it's.. .. Acoustic Pop, haha.
Do you play any instruments? And what isssss... your current musical obsession? Not your favorite, but whatever you're caught on right now.

So sorry, real life got in the way of the internet. Guitar, huh? Pretty cool! I, myself, do not play any instruments. I actually wanted to learn how to play the bass, but my music teacher insisted that I learn piano first. After three years of playing music from the same book made for third graders, I realized she wasn't going to teach me anything and gave up. The best I can do now is play by ear. :/ I don't think you'd be a big fan of my currect musical obsession, but what the heck. The band I am caught on right now is called "fun.". I discovered it about five months back and haven't been able to get it out of my head since. Unfortunately, now a bunch of emo kids have discovered it too. Argh. But yeah, it's not exactly hard rock or rap... Or Acoustic Pop, for that matter. Actually, I'm curious about what exactly a combination between folk, pop, and rock sounds like. Do you know any artists who play similar music that I could check out?

Haven't heard of that band.
Actually, I tried to learn piano one summer, but my teacher was smelly, so I quit. Haha.
Hmmmm... Amy Kuney, maybe? I'm not sure.. I don't really know what I'm talking about. A lot of my music just includes an accoustic guitar because that's all I got, but it's got a rock edge and sorta popish tunes, so it's not that folky.

They aren't wildly popular, though they deserve to be, in my opinion. -shrugs- Pfff. As good a reason to quit as any. Trying to imagine it... Sounds like it would be interesting. Amy Kuney, from the three songs thus far I have heard is pretty good. I absolutely adore her voice, and her melodies have a sort of... purity about them that I like. I think it's the instruments that she used. (I dunno. I'm not a music connoisseur or anything.) Anyways, I never actually asked you - do you have any current musical obsessions? Also, what kind of things do you draw? I think you mentioned drawing... (-scrolls up to check-) Yes, yes you did.

Current musical obsession would be dubstep. Can't get enough of a dirty bass and a skull spitting snare.
I like drawing people and portraits. I also like figure drawing. I love coming up with stories for the doodles of people I draw, or thinking of characters and how to tell their story visually. It's what I love to do, actually. Hopefully I'll be able to make some money at it.
