This is a sort of fantasy roleplay. Normal literate rules may apply but I'll go over them after.
~~~
The room was not a remarkable sight. It may have been inviting and comfortable at some point, but the paisley maroon wallpaper was fading and the glazed hardwood floor would creak. Even the doors and windows appeared to have vanished. Although, they may have never existed.
It was a large place, dusty with several pieces of furniture. Two long couches,one of which had a grey and olive green striped pattern and cat scratches at the arm rests. The other seemed comfier, overstuffed with a softer light red material. They sat in the center of the room, facing each other. The other sitting place was a white paint-chipped lawnchair off to the corner of the room. Beside the chair was a desk with an empty typewriter on top. A locked cabinet was at the opposite side of the room.
The young man came in rather suddenly. He walked between the couches with bleary grey eyes fixed on a slanted small picture frame without a picture. Hesitating and confused, he carefully fixed the frame and turned to inspect the room. This wasn't all what he was expecting.
He took a seat at the striped couch, fingering the cat scratches nervously. After a moment he adjusted his thin black coat and picked at his jeans. From the way he was zipped up and the state of his windblown dyed black hair, it must have been autumn. The room was rather stuffy, however, so he had to take off his coat.
Watching him pick at his knees, we've grown a little bored. There must be other players to enter the scene. Other dreamers and permanent sleepers.
Yes, a little boring, but it's only a map of the room. The room doesn't matter, it's the characters that play in it.
- Long posts aren't required.
One-liner? Just interact. 10 paragraphs? Uh, sure, if you're going for a monologue or some extremely detailed new change to the dream.
- Just know that you can change this room depending on your character, their mood, their subconscious, or their very will.
Everyone can change the scenery and the workings.
- Your character can be sleeping or dead, and they may or may not know this.
- Everyone doesn't need to get along.
So, don't force yourself or your character.
- Don't control another person's character without permission.
You can kill or hurt or love or play with another person's character with permission. Keep in mind, people usually wake up before they die in dreams.
- Your character can be anything from anywhere at anytime.
Era, race, dimension, planet, specie, whatever. Don't be stupid about this, just be free. Usually things make sense (at the time) in dreams, so please don't go speaking another language even if your character does. Let's all understand each other~
I guess that's it. Sorry for the huge rules. Now the next player can come into the room.
